RIFCOM CHALLENGE EVENTS FOR 2011
We are excited to be able to announce the next RifCom Challenge. In fact, we’re here to tell you about the next TWO RifCom challenges, both of which will take place this year and both of which we’ve set up as a result of valuable feedback from many of YOU. We’re separating out the community projects from the hard trekking this year and also separating the concepts of donating your time to help a community and of donating your sweat to raise money for a good cause! So the first event will be a four day event at the end of April entirely dedicated to hands-on community support projects with no fund-raising target, whereas the second event will be a four day gruelling challenge trek with a big sponsorship requirement.
THE RIFCOM COMMUNITY CHALLENGE 2011 (29 April to 2 May)
This year we’re inviting a wider audience to join our community projects in the Rif Mountains! As many of you have told us how you’d like to share some of the incredible experiences you’ve had in the Rif, this special 4 day event is designed for families, friends, partners, workmates and anyone who feels they would benefit from an amazing experience of giving back (and without endless hours of hard mountain trekking!). This expedition isn’t rigorous or physically demanding and its focus is on community enhancement, assisting a village and rural area with small scale projects like repairs to the school, agricultural work, solar installations, cultural exchange, sport and games and more. There is absolutely no fund-raising requirement so you only have to cover your own costs. You simply need to roll your sleeves up and take part in the RifCom Community Challenge 2011!
