Meet The RifCom Team
The driving force behind The Rif Community Foundation (RifCom) is a group of like-minded individuals from Gibraltar and Spain who in 2008, after witnessing first-hand the poverty existing in the Moroccan Rif Mountains on a corporate challenge trek, decided to reach out and help their neighbouring communities.
Since then the team at RifCom has grown and now consists of the following dedicated individuals:

Canadian born and now residing in Spain, Matt’s years of experience in leading wilderness expeditions into Morocco with his adventure tourism company, Adventurebug Worldwide Ltd, nurtured a powerful desire to assist the region’s impoverished and joined forces with his co-founders to realise this aspiration. Matt’s visionary qualities and inspirational concepts provides the team with valuable motivation and his leadership and organisational skills are instrumental in RifCom’s challenge events and steering the Moroccan ground team.
A director at STM Fidecs in Gibraltar, Julian set up RifCom together with his co-founders, after witnessing first-hand the struggles of the communities of the Rif. Julian, a driving force behind RifCom, brings a wealth of skills to the team and with his lateral thinking and attention to detail, he continuously drives RifCom’s endeavours to achieve its objectives with tremendous passion and dedication.
Born in UK but resident of Gibraltar and working for Finsbury Trust & Corporate Services Ltd, Mari readily joined forces with her co-founders to establish RifCom in 2008 after witnessing the poverty endured by the people of the Rif. Mari hugely contributes to the day-to-day administration of the charity and her passion and enthusiasm for RifCom’s cause is constantly fuelled by her frequent trips to the Rif to implement projects, coupled with her affiliation with the Rif people.
Born in UK but currently residing in Gibraltar and working for SG Private Banking Hambros, Tom joined RifCom in 2010 after volunteering to lead RifCom Sports. Tom’s passion and enthusiasm for sports, his dynamic ideas and ability to get the job done has resulted in RifCom Sports becoming an essential part of RifCom’s future and Tom a treasured member of the team.
Presently the CEO of Gibraltar Car Parks Ltd, George was born in Tangiers, Morocco but spent his childhood in Gibraltar. George has also served in various committees devoted to sports and charities, the most notable being a Trustee and Vice Chairman of the Gibraltar Heritage Trust for 4½ years and now lends his valuable experience to RifCom’s board of directors.
Adrian is a Senior Manager with Abacus Financial Services Limited in Gibraltar, a member firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited. Adrian has been a member of Round Table Gibraltar for over 14 years and as a dynamic and experienced fundraiser brings a wealth of experience and know-how to RifCom’s board of directors.
Anne, originally from UK but now a long-term resident in Spain, is a full-time teacher at Swans International School, Marbella and volunteered to become RifCom’s School Liaison Officer in 2014. Anne’s many years in the teaching profession together with her passion for education and “giving back” makes her perfect for this important RifCom role.
Born in Belgium and now residing in Spain, Domien assists greatly with transport and logistics for all team trips and events. Since joining the team in 2013, Domien has brought with him a wealth of travel industry experience and valuable language skills. With his limitless energy and spirit, Domien also provides general support and is an essential part of the RifCom team.
Ant is part of William Hill Online’s legal team. Born and brought up in Gibraltar, Ant has been practising as a lawyer for 7 years, having previously qualified as a mechanical engineer and worked in Gibraltar’s bustling fiduciary industry. Ant became actively involved in RifCom’s work from 2012 bringing his legal and local experience to RifCom’s management team.
Nabil, a Moroccan national and manager at Pizza Express in Gibraltar, contributes greatly to the team with his valuable understanding of the Moroccan language and culture. After joining the team in 2013, Nabil’s passion for his country and desire to help his fellow countrymen has made him an active and dedicated support member of the team.
